Before we meet, Mentat installs a powerful personal AI operating system on your computer and the system interviews you. Then we spend 2.5 to 3 hours on what the technology is, how to use it safely and effectively, and where it can create an advantage inside your firm.
Why we install it before we meet
Most AI workshops begin with a demo and end with a list of tools. This begins with a working system. Before the live session, Mentat installs the harness, the runtimes, and the approved connections into your files, email, calendar, and other tools. Then you run the guided interview at the end of the setup process so the system begins to understand your role, firm, priorities, voice, and judgment.
The live session starts at the strategic level. We explain the capability overhang, the widening gap between what current AI can do and what most firms actually use. We build a plain-language mental model of neural networks, LLMs, models, harnesses, agents, context, and MCPs so you can evaluate the technology without depending on vendor language.
Then Sam shows you the executive system he actually uses: Claude Code, Codex, connected files and email, live research, analysis, writing, and designed HTML documents shared through links. We teach you how to work with the system effectively, from the basics through advanced delegation, based on your current skill level.
Finally, we cover the security architecture, the real risks, and the opportunity across commercial real estate. We apply that map to your firm and identify where asset management, underwriting, acquisitions, reporting, or operations may justify a deeper build.

What it costs, and what it credits
$2,995 one time for one executive. That covers the white-glove install, the guided interview, the 2.5 to 3 hour live briefing and exploration, a written opportunity map, and 30 days of email support.
A fixed $1,000 credits toward a Firm OS build if the firm proceeds. The engagement stands on its own and the remaining fee is not a deposit on future work.
Executive teams receive cohort pricing: $2,995 for the first executive and $1,500 for each additional executive. Each participant receives an individual install and interview, followed by one shared briefing and firm exploration. The $1,000 build credit applies once per firm engagement.
There is no proposal stage and no sales team, because there isn't one. You talk to the person who will build it.

- What actually happens before the session?
- We meet remotely and Mentat installs the system on your computer: Claude Code, Codex, the coding harnesses, runtimes, and the approved connections into your files, email, calendar, and other tools. After the install, you run one guided interview prompt that teaches the system how you work. The live briefing starts with a working system and real context already in place.
- What do we cover in the live session?
- We cover the current AI capability overhang, a plain-language mental model of neural networks, LLMs, models, harnesses, agents, and MCPs, the security benefits and risks of the architecture, and the opportunity across asset management, underwriting, acquisitions, reporting, and operations. Then we apply it to your firm and identify where the highest-value next moves may be.
- Will you show me how you actually use AI?
- Yes. Sam demonstrates the executive AI system he uses every day, including Claude Code, Codex, coding harnesses, connected files and email, and designed HTML documents shared through live links. The working segment starts with the basics and moves into more advanced delegation based on your current skill level.
- Do I need to be technical?
- No. If you can use email and a browser, you can begin. Mentat handles the installation. The instruction is calibrated to your current experience, so a first-time user gets the foundations while an experienced user can move quickly into harnesses, MCPs, delegation patterns, and advanced workflows.
- Can we do this with the executive team?
- Yes. The first executive is $2,995 and each additional executive from the same firm is $1,500 when the installs and shared briefing are completed as one cohort within 30 days. Each executive receives an individual install and interview. The leadership team shares the briefing and firm exploration. Groups above five are scoped separately.
- What if we want to go further afterward?
- A fixed $1,000 from the firm engagement credits toward a Firm OS build. The credit is per firm, not per participating executive. There is no obligation to continue, and Agent Teams or Firm OS work begins only after a separate scope is approved.
- Does the engagement stand on its own?
- Yes. You keep the working system, the operating context created by the interview, the written opportunity map, and the practical skills to use it. The engagement is designed to be worth $2,995 even if neither party decides to build anything else.
